Don't want to write intents by hand? On Android, the built-in Automation wizard walks you through every step: pick a host, choose a command, snippet, batch or workflow, set the options, and get a ready-to-use Tasker intent and test command.

Chain steps into a workflow that runs one after another on your hosts, or run one command on many hosts in a single batch.

Security

Power requires control. The automation engine is built with several security layers.

• Off until you turn it on, after a security warning
• Every request carries one of your API keys, each with its own label
• Keys can expire (from 30 days to a year, or never) and are revoked one at a time
• Rate limiting on failed attempts
• Each key is shown once; only its hash is kept, in the system's secure storage
• A link always asks before anything runs
• Snippet values from other apps are shell-escaped before they go into the command
• Automation history of every run
